About
West London Aero Club (WLAC) is owned and operated by White Waltham Airfield ltd. Operating in a friendly and relaxed way, we train students for the EASA - PPL and LAPL as well as FIC, IMC, Other ratings such as night-flying, tail dragger conversions, plus a variety of ground school courses are also available. The flying school use the Piper Warrior for all ab initio training. We also offer flight experiences/trial lessons in a Chipmunk, Harvard, Pitts Special, Helicopter, Piper Warrior and Piper Cub.
White Waltham Airfield is one of the oldest and best known airfields in the country. Set in 200 acres on the edge of a picturesque estate in Berkshire, it is also reputedly the largest grass airfield in Britain. White Waltham is 35 miles from central London and is conveniently situated 3 miles from the M4 motorway at Junction 8/9. Trains to Paddington station in London from Maidenhead leave every 30 minutes. The club is supported by an excellent bar and restaurant with great views over the airfield.
