During my stay in Rekyavik I had arranged to go flying at the flight academy I was only there for 4 days and had previously booked a slot with them for Tuesday, due to the bad weather, which I must point out that this was not their fault, it was arranged for the Wednesday at the same time Later in the day Tuesday I was advised that the only time the plane was available was 2 hours later at 1700hrs which I agreed was ok I contacted the above in the morning of Wednesday by e mail asking if it was still ok for that time, no response As the weather had improved and I saw light aircraft flying the circuit I presumed it was all ok to go flying at the time allocated Two hours before my flight I was informed by them that the aircraft I was going to hire was having it´s annual inspection and was not available I ask myself why was I given a slot time on an aircraft that was not available, and why was the same aircraft re-booked on the same day 2hrs later Not very happy pilot
