About
Northland is an FAA approved Part 147 school that has been recognized as the premier Aviation Maintenance technician program of choice according to the United States Department of Education.
Students enrolled in Aviation Maintenance Technology may choose to obtain either a Diploma or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree at Northland. After completing this degree, students can then transfer to a four-year institution to complete their Bachelors Degree requirements.
While at Northland, students will gain experience in a wide variety of maintenance repair and inspection activities to include structural, electrical, hydraulics, instrumentation, pressurization, navigation, and both piston and turbine engine systems. More than 20 aircraft are available for student maintenance training; including 2 Boeing 727s, a McDonnell Douglas DC 9 and numerous corporate aircraft. In addition, gas turbine powered and reciprocating engine helicopters, single and twin-engine general aviation aircraft, and engine test cells are available for training.
A promising new industry is arising and Northland is at the forefront of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Courses are designed to create a skilled UAS Maintenance technician with a broad understanding of commonly used UAS platform at the functional level.
Northland Aerospace offers you the first Imagery Analysis program in the country. With the increasing use of unmanned aerial systems companies are drowning in data with no one to analyze it.Our 30 credit IA certification will prepare you to analyze, interpret, and communicate information ranging from full motion video to satellite imagery.
