Middle River Aviation is Baltimore’s largest and most experienced flight school. Our commitment to excellence will be apparent to you from the first time you walk through our door. At MRA, our customer’s satisfaction comes first. We have 11 Certified Flight Instructors and a fleet of 12 single and multi-engine aircraft for training and rental. You can also learn how to fly helicopters in our Robinson R22 Beta II.

All of our aircraft are also available for rental by appropriately qualified pilots. Take advantage of our Frequent Flyer Discount Program and earn free flight time. Using our frequent flyer Discount Program in conjunction with our Redbird Full Motion flight simulator gives you the most cost effective way to get your Private Pilot´s Certificate or an advanced rating. It is the most inexpensive way in town and all for no money down!

Flight Training

At Middle River Aviation you can do all of your flight training from beginner through to multi-engine along with commercial instrument ratings. All training can be done either as a full-time course or customized around your availability. At Middle River Aviation we fly around your schedule, not ours.

Helicopter Training

Learn to fly helicopters in Baltimore’s busy airspace in as little as one month. The training can be done on a full-time basis or customized around your schedule. Multi-Engine Time Building

It is no secret that the airlines prefer pilots with multi-engine experience. If you are a little short on multi-engine hours, why not take advantage of our full IFR, Garmin 430 equipped and known-ice certified Piper Seneca to fill in the experience gap. This is a great all-weather cross-country touring machine perfect for gaining some real multi-engine IFR flying experience.

2-day ATP Course – Including FAA Check-ride

Book in for our 2-day ATP course and brush up your skills. The course also includes the FAA Check-ride.

Aerobatics and Tail-wheel training
