About
Layang Layang Helicopter academy is one of the subsidiary of Layang Layang Aerospace, which was established in April 1994.
We operate the following aircraft:
- 1x AS355
- 8x BOLKOW BO105
- 1x BELL206L4
- 3x Bell206B3
- 2x NOMAD N22B
We have chosen the bell 206 B3 turbine engine helicopters for the training for its proven reliability and safety.
We have a full team of professional and dedicated instructors to guide the cadets for a successful career with an up to date and modern facilities and equipments.The flight training would be conducted at Kuala Penyu an approved airfield by Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia without interruption from other traffic.
The formation of the academy provide an opportunity for the many graduated fixed wing pilots with frozen ATPL to convert helicopter licence with vast job opportunities both in the general aviation and the oil and gas offshore industries.
We only accept limited students per intake for quality and uninterrupted flight training as the academy policy.

I completed my cpl (h) training at Layang-Layang Helicopter Academy. Incredibly dedicated staff who go over and beyond their duties. This school is like a small community, embracing all students and welcoming newcomers. The core of instructors at LLHA is unlike any other school. Over the past few months, the foundation has strengthened and created a legacy for the future students to come.
