Inter American University of Puerto Rico

The Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Aeronautics is certified by FAR part 141 for Private Single Engine Airplane Pilot, Commercial Single Engine Pilot and Instrument Airplane rating. These certifications and Multi-engine Airplane, instructor Airplane, instrument instructor Airplane, multi-engine instructor, flight review for single-engine, flight for completion of wings program, maintaining instrument rating flight experience, recent flight experience for pilot in command, instrument flight proficiency check (IPC), Airline Transition Training experience and ATP certificates training can be given by part 61 of the FAR’s.

The school is open to anyone interested in obtaining their airplane pilot certifications and also serves the students interested in obtaining a Bachelor in Science. Our school offers two Bachelor of Science in airway science. One is in aircraft systems management (professional pilot), the second in aviation science management. A minor in commercial pilots is offered to all university students and a minor in Air traffic Control is available for students in either of the bachelors from the school of aeronautics.

Our student’s in the professional pilot program obtain their FAA Private pilot land, Instrument rating, Commercial single and multiengine land, Certified flight instructor, Certified flight instructor instrument and multi-engine instructor.

For students not interested in doing a bachelor in science, the school offers under the continued education program the same certificates plus flight review for single-engine, flight for completion of wings program, maintaining instrument rating flight experience, recent flight experience for pilot in command, instrument flight proficiency check (IPC), Airline Transition Training experience and ATP certificates.

Our fleet consist of 8 Piper Archer III (4 have dual Garmin 430 and air conditioning), one Piper Arrow with glass cockpit and one Piper Seminole. Also there are three flight simulators (AST Hawk 3000, Frasca 242 and Frasca 142).
