IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We have so far given a glimpse of a career in aviation as an AME and explained in brief its importance in Aviation Industry and some of the opportunities that may be available to them. Now, some very important and useful information is being provided for the students who may be interested to get themselves enrolled in three years AME course at IIAE so that they can understand the process and important requirements of the programme. In order to successfully complete a career in aviation, you have to pass through a very rigorous and specialized programme after being enrolled.
Normally the day programme is divided into two parts i.e. theory and practical on equal basis. Every semester consists of systematically arranged four to five theory subjects, which must be passed at the end of every semester. It is important that a trainee must have attended minimum 80% of theoretical classes before he is allowed to appear in the semester examination. In order to pass theory papers and practical tests in each semester, it is mandatory for a trainee to obtain minimum 70% marks in each subject.
Such a high examination standard is very important to assure very high quality of training output. Class tests are regularly conducted to assess the weaknesses of the trainee. This helps in taking rectification action to improve the trainee´s performance, "by weakness remedy group" headed by Chief Instructor.
If a candidate is found continuously missing from the regular classes for more than seven days without any advance notice or permission, a caution notice to attend the classes will be forwarded immediately to the candidate and to his/her parents. If the candidate still fails to turn up for the class within two days of receipt of this notice a second warning is issued for termination and he/she shall be subsequently terminated, if response is not received within 7 days of the receipt of the second notice. The candidate who is terminated on this ground will not be able to pursue the course unless he/she is excused on reasonable grounds being shown to the satisfaction of the Chief Instructor/ Principal and entire fee including security and other deposits will be forfeited.
