The Dodge City Community College Flight Instructor Pilot - Helicopter program is a fully in house degree program located in Chandler, AZ. Our goal in developing this Flight Instructor Pilot - Helicopter program has been simply to design the best collegiate helicopter training program in the United States. In doing so, Dodge City Community College has consulted with and continues to work closely with some of the most experienced helicopter flight training organizations in the world. These relationships have been not only helpful with course development, but have also given program graduates a real advantage in job placement and career development within the helicopter industry.

Graduates of the program will receive 280 hours of actual flight time and the following certificate/ ratings:

1. Private Pilot Certificate – Helicopter
2. Instrument Rating – Helicopter
3. Commercial Pilot Certificate – Helicopter
4. Certified Flight Instructor – Helicopter
5. Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument Helicopter

Dodge City Community College students are able to start flying within the first week of their first semester. This enables our students to gain practical flight experience from the very beginning.

Veterans are able to utilize their Post 9-11 GI Bill ® to pay for up to 100% of the program, including Private Pilot.
