Bay Aviation is Virginia´s premier flight school! We can help you to achieve your private pilot, instrument pilot, commercial pilot, or flight instructor´s license. We are located in the beautiful Northern Neck area of Virginia at the mouth of the Rappahannock River at Hummel Field, Saluda.

Our experienced flight instructor and well-equipped Cessna 172 (which is IFR certified) will ensure your flight training experience is both thorough and fun. Michael Kuhnert is a 6000 hour pilot, who has been also a charter pilot and is involved with the Commemorative Air Force as an instructor pilot for the WWII aircraft of the Old Dominion SquadronWe also provide aircraft rental and biennial flight reviews.

Additionally we offer warbird training in a 1943 Fairchild PT-19, which is one of only 98 airworthyPT-19 worldwide and went through an eleven year restoration. This is one of the best flying primary trainers ever designed and more than 8000 of the type had originally been built.Depending on your experience level,we have several types of training packages available.
