Thank you for inquiring about SIMplex’s training complex. SIMplex is unique in that it has two training departments. The first is SIMplex’s simulator complex which is one of a few companies that meet the insurance industries high standards. SIMplex is approved by insurance companies to conduct initial and recurrent training for the King Air 90, 100, 200, 350 and 1900 as well as the bell 206 helicopter and meets the insurance industry 12-month training requirements.
SIMplex second focus is a small VIP training program, training two or three pilots at a time over a concentrated four-month period will produce a proven marketable advanced pilot. The advantages are the training from private instrument commercial are taught by professionals corporate and airline pilots. SIMplex second focus was spawned at the request of corporate operators and regional airlines to produce and supply professionally advanced trained pilots to fill the growing critical shortage. Our trained pilots meet and pass an advanced airline or corporate ground school and simulator training requirements. This focus combats the high cost incurred and the current high failure rate associated with inexperienced low time pilots trying to transition into larger, faster and more technically advanced aircraft.
There requirements are:
* A minimum of 250 hours, commercial, instrument, multiengine rating.
* Flight training in an advanced aircraft that reflects a higher demand of training in speed and complexity.
* Technically advanced systems ground school equivalent to what the airlines and corporate training centers require.
* Advance cockpit two crew (CRM) training procedures.
* Instructors that have a background experience or have flown in airlines/corporate operations.
* Flight training that reflects real-world airline or corporate LOFT (line oriented flight training) flight operations.
SIMplex’s training philosophy is not to become a mega-training center supplying a large number of candidate pilots, but to focus on seeking and accepting only three pilots at the time for a very personal VIP, four to five-month training experience. This philosophy produces a highly qualified pilot that will have 100% placement rate and are sought after by regional airlines and corporate operators.
The training process:
* All SIMplex pilot Candidates must first past a psychological screening and a background check with NATA.
* Candidates may be asked to pass a pre-screening simulator evaluation to access their ability to qualify for the Advanced Training Program. Upon successful completion of the Simulator evaluation, a class start date is assigned to the Candidate to begin training.
* The pilot in training must then open up a secure checking account in their name with Bank of America and deposit the full cost of the training program.
* The bank will issue a debit card in the pilot’s name to pay for the training on a lesson by lesson basis. The pilot only pays for the training received.
* All pilot candidates and pilots with ratings enter the Advanced Airline Training Program ground school together.
* After four weeks you will have completed 5 Airline Ground Schools including:
• Airline General Turbine Systems CBT
• A/B 90 King Air systems
• King Air 200 systems
• Airline/corporate CRM
• Multi Engine Aircraft & Aerodynamics
Upon successful completion of systems ground schools, pilots in training enter the flight phase where they will receive:
* 120 hours of level 6 flight simulator
* Up to 65 hours of King Air turboprop aircraft LOFT training in Airline/corporate procedures.
90% of all SIMplex flight training is done in a King Air turboprop aircraft under the supervision of current and/or retired professional Airline Pilots. After completion of flight training, the pilot in training (if needed) will take a FAA commercial instrument check ride in a King air. The check ride is at the end of flight training. This allows the pilot to benefit from all the training before he takes his check ride, resulting in almost 100% success rate in FAA check rides.
In the final stages of training (SP9 – SP10), pilots have the opportunity to choose and undergo airline jet transition and simulator training or turboprop transition and simulator training. These courses consist of 40 hours aircraft systems training and 32 hours simulator training. Upon successful completion of this final course pilots are issued a certificate of completion and have the opportunity to interview with regional airlines or corporate operators. Pilots electing to interview with a corporate operator will also be issued an insurance certificate of completion for initial training qualifications in a King Air series aircraft. A corporate operator saves thousand dollars because the pilot candidate is already prequalified under The SIMplex Insurance Qualifications Program.
SIMplex advanced training complex’s sole goal is to properly prepare a pilot so that they are hired by a regional airline or corporate operator and are able to pass all ground schools, simulator training, IOE check rides, and ultimately be qualified to fly the line. SIMplex’s pilots are trained to top industry standards.
