Company IntroductionBritish Midland Airways Limited or BMI is a scheduled airline based in United Kingdom. The airline flies to destinations in Europe, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia whilst its operational bases are Manchester Airport and London Heathrow Airport. In January 2007, BMI bought British Mediterranean Airways which has enabled it to serve a wider range of mid-haul destinations. BMI is 80% owned by Lufthansa. The other 20% is owned by Scandinavian Airlines. BMI has a fleet consiting of the following aircraft: • Airbus A319/320/321/330 • Boeing 757 • Embraer ERJ 135 / ERJ 145 (bmi Regional) | ||||||||
Flight Crew / Pilot Jobsbmi is currently accepting resumes from pilots. No assessment centres are currently scheduled as immediate needs for the coming year have been met. However, BMI welcomes you to register and your details will be held for a period of 9 months. Minimum requirements • ATPL (or frozen ATPL) (UK and JAA) • 100 hours PIC • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating • MCC credit or valid MCC exemption granted by CAA • Completed theoretical knowledge requirements of ATPL instruction on an approved course • Class 1 Medical • The ability to work and reside in the EU | ||||||||
Flight Attendant Jobsbmi is currently hiring cabin crew. Minimum requirements: • Min age 18. No max age although mandatory retirement at 65. • Height Between 5’2" and 6’2" with weight in proportion • Min 4 GCSE’s at grades A-C or equivalent (NVQ level 2/grade 1 CSE only). Certificates must be presented at interview or before employment. • Applicants must hold a 10 year British or European passport before employment OR have the indefinite right to live and work in the UK in his/her own right, with the freedom to travel throughout the EU, as well as any relevant visas. • Minimum of 12 month’s experience in a customer-facing role • High standard of physical fitness & visual acuity of 6/9 in each eye aided or unaided • Able to swim a minimum of 25 meters unaided • Good standard of fluency in English spoken & written | ||||||||
