Position is for a Senior Powerplant Engineer Minimum Requirements • 10+ years of Powerplant Engineering experience (airline, shop, OEM, etc) with detailed on wing operational knowledge; prefer the experience to be with CFM56 model engines • Understanding of Gas Turbine fundamental operating principles (aero, thermal, mechanical, etc.) • Understanding of the Powerplant interface with the aircraft • Knowledge of FAA regulations and oversight functions (for both aircraft and engine operating airworthiness certificates) • Excellent communication skills: verbal (both informal working teams and formal executive presentations), and in clear/concise written documents • Expert proficiency skills with PC and Web based application • Capable of performing in a daily fast paced environment while simultaneously meeting assigned project deadlines with a self directed decision making confidence Education & Experience • Required: B.S. Degree in Engineering (preference: Aerospace or Mechanical) • Required: 10+ years of airline and/or manufacturer Powerplant Engineering experience (preference: CFM56 engine) | |||||||||||
