Helicopter Flight Training at Veracity Aviation

At Veracity Aviation our mission, drive and motivation is getting our students the next helicopter rating they desire in the minimum amount of time. Our approach is very simple and direct. We provide one on one flight instruction that is catered to the individual. We do not use a cookie cutter program that all students must learn by. We recognize that everyone learns at different rates, and disseminates information differently and we adapt our program to fit you. This saves the student time and money in extra training. Our training programs include:

• Private Pilot Rotorcraft
• Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft
• CFI Rotorcraft

Our Program

At Veracity Aviation, our approach is very simple and direct. We pride ourselves on our company principles of honesty and integrity...to provide our students with up front, honest instruction and achieve what we set out to do.

The first step to contemplate when considering what flight training you need is to determine what your ultimate goals are. Once you establish this, then determine the best path to take to help you achieve this goal.

The Path To Success

For any career pilot the first step is the Private Pilot Certificate. A Private Pilot certificate allows you to fly and log PIC time, but it does not permit you to be compensated for your service. In order to get paid to fly you will need a commercial certificate. Once you have your commercial certificate many avenues for you to pursue a professional helicopter career can open up. However; you may still find yourself limited to whom you can work for due to minimum flight hour requirements that most operators require. The magic number for most major operators is 1,000 hours of PIC time. Now you have a commercial certificate but you still do not have that dream job because of a lack of experience. There are several ways pilots build up this required time. One option is working for a small operator that specializes in agriculture work, pipeline/power line patrol, photography and aerial survey operations that do not have this 1,000 hour requirement. The most common method of acquiring this coveted time is through flight instruction. In order to provide flight instruction there of course is another certificate you must have. It is called a CFI (certified flight instructor) as a flight instructor you will be able to build time quickly and efficiently. During this time you will learn more by teaching, then you ever did going through your training. A CFI certificate is not an easy certificate to earn but it is very rewarding and a great way to start your career.

Our flight instruction is based directly from FAR Part 61 and we comply with all FAR Part 91 regulations. This allows us a lot of latitude to customize a flight training program fit to you. All instruction is on a one on one basis so you will not have the distractions of a large classroom environment. This also allows your instructor to mold the lesson to your weak areas and focus attention on issues that are hampering your flight training. Our ultimate goal is to get you your next certificate. And the most efficient means of doing this is in a one on one environment with a structured syllabus that is made for you. We specialize in add on rating training and students with previous helicopter experience. This does not however hamper us from providing a student with no prior aviation experience, the best and most efficient training to accomplish your private, commercial and CFI pilot certificates.
