Professional Helicopter Training Program
This program is specifically designed for the student who wants to make Helicopter flying a career. The program assumes a completely novice student with zero flight training.
Our program will start the student with the basic principles of flight and progress through a specially designed and FAA approved syllabus. The student will begin with preparing for the entry level certificate required of all pilots: the Private Pilot (Helicopter) certificate. Upon achieving this rating, the student will then progress through the Instrument Flight Rating and ultimately, the Commercial Pilot (Helicopter) Certificate.
On successful completion of the Commercial Certificate, The student will then prepare for and Earn a Certified Flight Instructor Rating as well as the advanced Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument Rating.
When complete, the student will be a licensed Commercial Helicopter Pilot and eligible to begin a career in flying as a Flight Instructor.

VA & GI Bill
As an FAA Part 141 Certified Training Facility, Johnston Flying is able to offer and qualify you for GI Bill & VA programs. We are VA approved and can accept GI Bill benefits. Further, all Veterans qualify for a $5,000 scholarship offered directly by Johnston Flying Services on complete Professional Helicopter Programs.
College Degrees
Take college course online while attending our school. If your goals include a Degree in Aviation, our association with Utah Valley State College will allow you to work towards your Associate or Bachelor degree while you are with us?your flight time even counts as credits towards your degree.
