Ballard Aviation is located at Brackett Field (KPOC) in La Verne, California adjacent to the L.A. County Fairgrounds. The airport has a control tower and several Instrument Flight Rule (IFR) approaches that make for an excellent airport to learn how to fly!

Flight Training at Ballard Aviation

Ballard Aviation offers every possible rating from private pilot to airline transport.

We Specialize in advanced ratings including Flight Instructor rating.

We also offer Multi-Engine ratings.

Checkrides and FAA testing is done on site.

Mission Statement

As a former student of many different flight schools, I know how hard it was for me to find a flight school that was reasonable and staffed with quality personnel. Since I own my own flight school, it is my mission to ensure we have not only the best-running and best-looking aircraft but that we offer quality personnel with years of flight experience. My feeling is you're only as good as your instructor: what you failed to learn, your instructor failed to teach! Ballard Aviation offers the "personal touch" approach to flight training. We treat you like we would like to be treated.
