Spartan's flight school is located on a tower-controlled airport with dual runways. The flight school also maintains a fleet of approximately fifty aircraft including Cessna 152s, 172s, and 172 RGs for advanced complex pilot training and Piper Seminoles for multi-engine pilot training. Three Frasca flight training simulators are used in flight training as well. No pilot or flight training experience is required! Spartan can take you from your first day in an airplane to reaching your goals in the flight industry. Aviation Maintenance Technology
An Aviation Maintenance Technician is in high demand. For every one hundred hours that an aircraft is used for hire, it must go through a thorough aviation maintenance process. This aviation maintenance, combined with annual inspections and routine maintenance repairs, create a tremendous need for qualified licensed aviation maintenance technicians. The people who inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft must be licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration. In Spartan’s Aviation Maintenance Technology training program, not only will you gain the knowledge and skill required to obtain your FAA airframe and powerplant licenses, you will also gain the confidence and training required for top performance on the job in aviation maintenance. No experience is required! In this aviation maintenance training program you will learn everything from changing a tire to rebuilding a turbine engine. You will also learn about all types of aircraft from a small single engine airplane to a large transport airplane like those used by the major airlines. Avionics Technology
As technology advances so does the need for certified avionics technicians. Today's aircraft are filled with radios, navigation systems, radar, flight computers, and many more sophisticated electronics. Due to the nature of these highly sophisticated systems, Spartan's Avionics Technology program will prepare you for a position as an avionics technician or aviation electronics technician immediately after graduation. No experience required! Spartan will take you through intense electronics technician core classes that can give you the state-of-the-industry knowledge and skills required to specialize in aviation electronics (avionics). The Avionics Technology program is also offered in an avionics degree program, which includes general aviation courses, as well as, gyroscopic and mechanical instrument repair and aviation electronics maintenance. If you believe you would enjoy working indoors in a controlled environment and being involved with the latest avionics technologies, this may be the right career choice for you!
Quality Control/Nondestructive Testing
In a world where public safety and quality production is essential, there is a growing demand for qualified Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and Quality Control graduates. The Nondestructive Testing program at Spartan is a diploma program in nondestructive testing that offers you a short training time and high job demand! As a Nondestructive Testing student you will develop the knowledge and skill required to perform sophisticated testing techniques such as X-ray, liquid dye penetrant, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic testing that are required in many different industries. The Quality Control Training program allows Nondestructive Testing students to enhance their training and experience with a nondestructive testing program. No experience required! In this training program, you will learn about manufacturing processes, metrology, statistics, and total quality management. In short, you will be able to develop, maintain, and enforce quality control programs. As a Quality Control and Nondestructive Testing graduate, you can find yourself working in many industries such as manufacturing, aviation, nuclear power plant, construction, and many others!

Spartan understands the need for our graduates to complete their education with a baccalaureate degree. Continuing your education will allow you more opportunities in the area of supervisory and management positions within the aviation industry! That is why Spartan has developed an accelerated bachelor's program designed specifically for Spartan Associate Degree graduates. This bachelor's program will allow a Spartan Associate graduate to complete a degree in as few as 16 months! The program combines training, experience, and education, which allows you to increase your marketability and advance your career within the aviation and aerospace industries.
